1. Cricket is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy (Stephen Fry)
2. FOOTBALL offers the world clichés; RUGBY produces facial deformity; HOCKEY provides an acceptable outlet for psychotic violence; CRICKET alone breeds myths. More quotes here.

We will gloss over the cock up that saw our opponents not come to our palatial home (hint: never trust Email) and instead jump straight to our single wicket. Boiling hot, paired up, 5 teams of two players batting 10 overs each (or more than Steve bats in 5 years, but I digress).
You get points for runs, lose points for being out, get points for catch and bowlers for bowling. So how did it fare…

Well it was very close. As can been seen to 103 year old pair of Fletch and Charlie, who batted last, were just one run short of the win. Because of the complexity of scoring this was not known and Fletch taking a coronary break in between 2 quick ones stopped it being a draw.
But a well deserved win for the young pairing of Mark and Colm.
Special mentions also toMark, for 5 catches, Fletch best batting and bowling combo, Clarkster for big hitting, Steve-O for most outs and QuickSilva for the most spectacular catch of the day
All in all a nice day out.
