We won, batting second. Bill Martin told some clients in Southampton he had to get back to London for an important Partner meeting so he could play. Our first game against Abraxas, played in a constant drizzle; Good tea, good chaps, good losers.

Historical notes: Abraxas used to supply IT types for hire, I think it was something to do with the BCCI job. Rodders used to hire them. Bill Martin was partner in accountancy or something and used to pull rank on us all
