Heroes on fire
A damp and manky Bank holiday (what's new there) and new opponents, the John Minshull Invitational XI.  JM was the first man to score a definite century (the wikipedia page is worth a look ).

Anyhow a boggy wicket and quite an early start.  We fielded first (I can't remember who won the toss) and literally, Badmo, was on fire. It was at least 4 overs before one landed in my gloves behind the stumps and it was a quick fire fifer for him (indeed it would have been a sixer if he hadn't dropped a C and B.)  For one Salix bowler to become incandescent is one thing, but then Elvis came on and bugger me if he didn't actually make a couple spin.  About a foot.  And take out the off stump.  Two excellent catches from Karan completed the general awesomeness  and it was a quick swap around.

Our man from Brokeback Mountain didn't trouble the scorer, but CK1 whipped a lovely 6 off his first ball or so and it was all plain sailing really to one of our biggest ever wins. (*)  The JM lads were extremely nice about it all and it was a very pleasant if rather short game.  So we all went to the pub.

(*) CK and Karan made it look easy.  It wasn't.

should that be a P rather than an O in the caption?
