Old Dogs New tricks 1kruns and and a PB
Always a close and well fought game versus Padders old team mates, and today was no exception: with the Mercury hitting 26 and an outfield faster than Usain Bolt, all the bowlers laboured mightily but to little avail on both sides.

Winning the toss the Livers batted first and couple of early wickets fell to Tuffers and Puff Daddy, but that was it until Padders brought himself on towards the end and claimed three. A big score at tea.

However proving that you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks (that line and photo caption courtesy Siv) Daveski hit his 1k runs for the club and got a personal best (including a lovely six). CK fell to an edge and that brought Nelson to the crease who promptly hit another unbeaten ton. This feat looked in a little doubt towards the end as VCGC kept hold of the strike with Nelson needing only three and promptly hit 21 off the over. But sanity prevailed and both teams went to the pub.

On other matters, TeenWolf asked about our lowest unique scores and I can tell you than no one has ever scored 70 in a Salix game
